Karnak

Karnak (Egyptian: Ipet-Isut, "Most Select of Places") is site of the largest temple complex, both in Egypt and the world, covering over 100 hectares (247 acres). The modern name of the site is derived from the nearby local village of al-Karnak, now a northern suburb of present day Luxor.
The Karnak Temple complex can be conveniently divided into three main precincts—representing the three members of the Theban triad—in addition to several temples and other structures situated outside any of these (from north to south):
