New Kingdom

The New Kingdom period of ancient Egypt, also commonly referred to as the "Empire", saw Egypt attain a late second millennium BCE zenith in cultural development, territorial extent and foreign influence.

Dynasties
The New Kingdom period encompasses three Manethonian dynasties:
- Eighteenth Dynasty - including the Thutmosids and the so-called Amarna Period
- Nineteenth Dynasty - the Ramessides
- Twentieth Dynasty
