Nile River

The Nile River (Arabic: النيل an-Nīl) is a river in east-central and north-east Africa and the river of Egypt, both ancient and modern.
The Nile is regarded by most geographical authorities as the longest river on the surface of the Earth, measuring 6,695 km (4,160 miles) from a source elevation of 1,134 m (3,721 ft), with an average discharge of 2,830 m³/s (99,956 ft³/s) of water drained from a basin area measuring 3,400,000 km² (1,312,740 mi²).
