Ptolemaic Period
From ArchaeoWiki
The Ptolemaic Period of ancient Egyptian history and culture refers to the period between 332 BCE and 30 BCE when Egypt was ruled by a Greek Macedonian ruling family—the Ptolemaic Dynasty—and subject to an unprecedented level of Hellenistic influence, while retaining significant elements of the native Egyptian cultural strata. During the Ptolemaic Period, Egypt formed the core territory of the Ptolemaic Empire.
