Scythopolis
From ArchaeoWiki
Scythopolis (Greek) was an ancient Hellenistic city and capital of the Decapolis that existed at the base of the ancient mound of Tel Beth Shean into the Roman and Byzantine periods. The remains of the city today form the larger part of a partially-excavated archaeological site within the Beth Shean National Park, located within the modern Israeli city of Beth Shean (Hebrew: בֵּית שְׁאָן Bet Šəʼan; Israeli Arabic: بيت شان Bayt Šān; Arabic: بيسان Beisan, Beysan) that extends to the south and west.
