A Stela of Ramesses II, dated to his Regnal Year 4, was excavated at Byblos and indicates the active involvement of Ramesses II in the affairs of the city early in his reign.
The dateline of the stela states Year 4, fourth month of Shomu, <Day 1> of the reign of Ramesses II.
