Zincirli
From ArchaeoWiki
Zincirli (also Zinjirli, Zenjirli, Senjirli; Turkish: Zincirli Höyük) is an important archaeological site in south-central Turkey, located close to a strategic pass in the Anti-Taurus Mountains. Zincirli has long been identified as the ancient (Neo)-Hittite city of Samʾal.
Zincirli is currently under renewed investigation—after a break of more than a century—by an international team directed by David Schloen and conducted under the auspices of the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago.
